about

"Unfriend" marks the fourth studio release for Wisconsin trip-hop band, Endless Blue. This EP contains five new original tracks, two revived original tracks and two popular covers with an Endless Blue triphop twist. Be prepared to go on a notably darker and more mature journey with Endless Blue as you delve into deeper, more controversial subjects and become entangled in a web of emotions, all honed and trimmed to distill the essence of Nick Mitchell's production. Endless Blue replaces lovelorn, breezy reminiscence we heard in their previous works with political extremism in "Unfriend", lost youth in "Dreaming Days", and broken relationships in "Losing Me".Weaving throughout these songs, Laura's sultry voice is more haunting and nuanced than ever before, giving life to the bare emotions this EP tackles. Understand the foundation of Endless Blue by listening to "Shadows" and "Dark Blue Orange", two original tracks over 10 years old, from Laura and Nick's previous project, STATE4. The album closes with two well-known favorites, Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It" and Portishead's "Glory Box". The former gets a tripped-out reggae treatment, while the latter stays true to the source material.

about

Endless Blue San Marcos, California

Strongly influenced by the fruits of the downtempo Bristol sound of the early nineties, Endless Blue’s music spins the trip- hop style in a new direction while staying true to their roots. They infuse trip-hop’s “signature” lo-fi beats, vintage synths, and jazzy bass with guitar and songwriting that leans toward the indie-rock vibe of their original home of Minneapolis, Minnesota. ... more
